Horse Hair Gage

Gage was born with his dad's hair. He was begging me to cut it this morning, it is the longest we have ever let it grow before. I loved his cute comb-over for church, it took lots of gel and some hairspray to hold it in place!
I suppose it was geting out of control though. he wakes up like this. He was a bit shy to have his picture taken, because his uncle Kyle was laughing at him (ok, we all were) because it is so cute like this!
So we hurried and buzzed it before school.

Later mop.... hellooo fresh buzz.
He likes to make me rub his hair after a buzz because it feels 'cool'!

Looks good Gage.
I love this boy!

My new nephew

My little sister Emily had her sweet baby boy yesterday! They named him Brody and he is one of the cutest little (BIG) things I've laid eyes on!
She had a quick labor and after choosing to not have any pain meds, he came out weighing 9lbs 9 oz. and 22 1/2" long. I'm so proud of Emily! She's great, and Ella and Macy are SOOO exccited for him to come home so they can hold him again!(me too)
He couldn't be any cuter, congrats Emily and Matt!

Why is Hanna Montana soooo cool?!

Apparently because she has the best dancing music!!

We missed Shaye today, maybe next time!

Acrobats for FHE!

The kids love to wrestle eachother, sometimes it can get a little serious, but usually it's all in good fun. When Cass gets in the mix, it's all against daddy! This night, it turned into acrobatic performances, mostly by Brighton, because she is fun to watch, she giggles, and because she gets upset when the others get a turn (sheesh!) Bridgit is so tall, she could almost touch the fan with her feet!
Brighton stole the show for the most part

I love nights when we can be crazy and have fun together.

First day of school!

Yay for school! I will admit that I am a little sad, school came too fast for me. The kids are super excited though, which I am glad for. Cass was able to give the kids each a Father's blessing on Monday for part of FHE. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful father to my children! First day!
At the bus stop. These girls are so cute!
Gage and his buddy Mitchell.
Getting on the bus. My kids think riding the bus is the greatest, I'm not sure why exactly. We live very close to the school, but they provide the service and the bus driver is really nice.
The bus, on the way home was over-crowded. there was some confusion and a little worry from us moms, but it was OK, I think, hopefully they get it taken care of asap! We love our school and the kids have wonderful teachers this year, which we are so grateful for! Hopefully we'll have another good year!

Noni and Pampa

Noni and Pampa take grandkids for special sleepovers once in a while, and it is always a real treat for the kids! This time it was my older girls and two of their cousins, Kansas and Addi. After a funfilled night, even a trip to Jeepers, they got to go to "work" with Noni and pampa.

The girls were able to take a cool tour around the cannery and see how everything works. They had so much fun, thank you Noni and Pampa!

Trip to St. Johns

This last weekend, I took my kids up to St. Johns to visit my older sister and her family. Cheyanne had her birthday party at the fun park up there. The weather was actually nice and the park was so green and pretty. Erin's friend, Julie brought her blow up waterslide for the kids
Julie also brought her horse and buggy, and drove the kids around the park countless times. "Queenie" had pretty purple streaks in her maine and tail, as well as purple hoofs with pink glitter! My niece, Livvy, would have loved to see it, we missed them.

Cheyanne, opening her gifts.

Cheyanne recieved this little lamb as a gift, which Brighton decided to claim.

The birthday girl, swinging

The next day, we went to the cemetary to visit my nephew and lots of other relatives. Erin lives so close, the kids rode in the back of the truck, even Lucky (the dog)!

Then we went to the park to play again. the girls loved climbing this tree.

Lots of snacks were consumed as well.

Before we headed for home, we travelled to see my granparents, I didn't take a picture there, darn it.
On the way, it is usually Gage who makes us stop numerous times for potty breaks, but this trip it was Gavin! He rode with cousins in Emily's car, luckilly we had the trusty walkie talkies for a quick heads-up!
I thought this was cute. Bridgit won this jar of gumballs up at the last reunion we were at, but we had gone home before they announced the winner, so my sweet grandmother saved it for her and gave it to her when we visited. It rode on her lap the whole way home, and she was nice to share.

Gavin, the tagless...

Gavin has a thing for teddy bears (esp care bears).... he also has a thing about tags. they drive him bonkers. He begged me for this bear at the nieghbors garage sale, and brought it in to me that day asking if I could cut his tag off. I said "Tags don't bug him like they bug you." and he insited that they did, so off came his tag.

We do this in church often, he has Gage's hand-me-downs and I end up in the hallway, at the primary closet finding scissors, to cut the tags out of his shirts. Sheesh, thank goodness for the tagless shirts!?

A Wicked Weekend

Cass and I were lucky enough to see Wicked back in July. We took my parents, which was great, just wish I would have taken a picture of all of us :( We were able to sit by some friends as well, which made it even that much more fun! We all enjoyed it and can't wait to see it again sometime.
