the many styles of Brighton

Silly, cheesy smile!
Brighton is almost as goofy as our Gavin, although, not many people see this side of her. She's usually a bit reserved around most people! She loves to try things on, especially shoes and undies.

This day she wanted to wear goggles and church shoes.

this day... a skirt with sketchers, but only one sock
more goggles

When I tell her to 'come here!' she RUNS away! This was at a camping trip where she found mud to play in!
The diry bum look.

The wet dog (water) look! gross...

These are just some of the latest ones, I might have to look thru to find the rest. we love this girl! She recently had her first day in nursery and I think will do ok! (I still want to keep her with me sometimes, bc she's my baby!!)

4th of July '09

Going to Pine for the 4th of July has been so much fun the last 2 years with the Haslams. The kids get into all sorts of trouble, but have sooo much fun doing so! This is their game of leapfrog! We went shopping 'down town'....
where LeAnn bought this HUGE golden star for Eden's Halloween costuem this year!

We took the kids for a scenic drive.

Cass made a treasure hunt for the kids which was really awesome!

Josh took them for a ride on the Rhino.

Gavin lost one of his shoes, so he walked around like this for a while.

Gav and Eden being silly!

The fireworks show was the best I think I've seen, the kids thought it as great too. They hadn't ever really been to a real fireworks show though either. We met up with the Hanna family in Paysonfor it too!

The guys in their comfy seats.

Bubble-blowing Gavin

Jaxon blew some bubbles for his mom

it was a great weekend, then we had to rush home Sun. morning for church, which was a little hectic having sharing time and all (it was fine)!

Nelson Reunion '09

I decided last minute this year to go to this reunion, Cass was at Lake Powell with the YM and my parents had asked us a few times if we were going to go, but I didn't think I could do it without Cass. What was I thinking, I have great kids and we had a blast! We got there late at night and while we were setting up the tent, rain started pouring on us and soaked the tent as we un-staked it and threw it into the vehicles, to wait out the rain! It slowed enough to set up tent, so while the kids all watched a movie, my dad and I got things situated. Brighton fell asleep holding my mom, so she was really easy to put to bed.
Next morning, we woke really, really early (my kids do that sometimes) and ate a yummy breakfast.
we played, and visited, and played some more all that day! Brooklin particularly played softball the whole time, pretty much.

We all joined in for a while, it was really a good time!

The girls did take a break to play volleyball, I love that they play so well together still!

Until the next time, it was a really fun reunion, THANKS!

I'm just like you.... you're just like me....

Even though Bridgit and Brooklin are not identical twins, they are often mistaken as such.... which is ok, they surely do look similar!

Brooklin came to me yesterday and told me she and Bridgit had a 'fashion show' for me to watch. So I went downstairs and this is what they showed me, it was so cute!

They like to watch Barbie movies, and in the one titled "Barbie as The Princess and the Pauper" Barbie and the brunette girl that looks a lot like her, sing this song.

I don't think they have a clue how special it is to have a twin sister! Hopefully they will always love eachother as much as they do now.

Lake trip June'09

Bridgit and Brooklin trying out kneeboarding for the first time!

The Houstson family invited us to the lake with them, it is always a BLAST! We don't get to go often, so it's a nice treat! Gavin talkked about the "inner-tube" so much before we arrived at the lake and once we were on the water, he was terrified! It always take someone a while to get used to the boat. so I finally convinced him to go with me, he told Trevor with his hands, how fast he wanted to go... he did ok, but didn't want a long ride!devyn came with us in the truck, and they were rocking out to tunes!

swimmimg in the water when we stopped was one of the favorites

Dev and Mitchell showed the kids how to knee board

Rylie Ru and Brighty Boo

Thank you Houstons! You are great friends!

Cousin fun!

We were so lucky to have cousins, Daisy and Chandler over in June! We don't get to see them as often as we'd like, so it was an extra special couple of days!
Daisy taught us how to play Electric Monopoly! Then it was time to play Life
The kids' favorite thing to do is jump on the trampoline with the sprinklers, and the parachute was a good shield when they didn't want to get sprayed! The would jump around, wait until the sprinkler got too close and huryy and pile all their little bodies under it and SQUEAL!!!
So much fun!
Late at night, still watching movies
Making a fun fort, Daisy even had her casted arm and could make a great one! I didn't get a picture of the finished product, should have, though!
Thanks for the great FUN! We love you guys!
