Bye-Bye Binkie

Not potty training yet, but we did get rid of Gavin's beloved binkie. It sadly has become practically part of his body. We figured it was time when we saw him at church, sticking his tongue completely out of his mouth at the kid behind us, while still keeping his binkie in! So later on Sunday, I went into the gift closet and found the present I was going to save for his birthday coming up, but it couldn't wait. He has been obsessed with tractors lately so we got him a remote control one, and traded it for the binkie. He had a really hard time that night, but after he did fall asleep, I went to check on him and he was hugging it! (ouch) I did snap a couple pictures, but I still am not able to download onto the computer darnit. He has done so well since and only asked for it a few times! Now the tractor has become part of his body, he hasn't let go of it much since, even to eat! So next is potty training, really, he's almost 2 (in a week) so we'll start soon!

A-O.K.

So the play-date went ok, he cried but stopped apparently right after I left. Gavin has a way of throwing huge fits and when someone tries to pick him up, he is great at 'melting' out of their arms, he does it every Sunday for nursery :(
His new thing is saying "pleeeeease" to get what he wants (with a puppy dog, wrinkle face), and it is the cutest thing ever, so of course, I give in almost always. I have to get it on video. How can you say no to that? I love this age. Sometimes I wish they would stay right there forever, but then I see the girls and Gage and see how much they have learned and grown and I wouldn't have it any other way! I love them!
Today, while I was on the phone, Bridgit came in to tell me something 'very important' and I ignored it, shame on me. As soon as I got off of the phone, she told me that Gavin had a blow-out all over the stairs! She is usually a dramatic girl anyway so I didn't assume it to be ALL over the stairs, as he scooted down them with his bum. EW, I hate cleaning up poo. I wish I would have taken a picture, but that's gross! I used a whole bottle of Kids N' Pets cleaner deodorizer and Clorox wipes, hopefully my carpet is as good as new! Now, time to potty train......... I think!???? Have a great day!

Play Date!

So today is Gavin's first 'Play-Date'. There is going to be 10- 1,2,&3 yr olds for 2 1/2 hours!!!!!! I get to host next week, too. I don't know how this will turn out or if Gavin will even let me leave him there! I have asked him a few times about it and he tells me "no." Since his cousin Ella will be there, things might go over easier, we'll see! Wish me luck!

Catch-up

Well, still no pictures, I found the wire thing, but I can't get pictures to download :(. It's been pretty busy around here lately, we went to the 2007 Carter reunion last weekend up in the White Mountains. The weather could not have been nicer, and it was a great weekend. There was a fun zipline that the kids could not get enough of, sand toys in the volleyball court, quad riding, catching horny toads and grasshoppers, and being spoiled by Noni! We loved it.

The girls and Gage stared Kindergarten and pre-school, which they really enjoy as well! Gage goes in the mornings and the girls are in afternoon kinder, so it's sort of a gamble trying to get lunch and fix hair, in-between the two to get the girls to school on time, but we're getting use to it.

I just finished Harry Potter also, it took a few days and I've neglected everything, so now I'm trying to catch up! It's scary how fast laundry and everything else can pile up on you when your not on top of things. I tried, but it's hard to put a good book down! So, back to cathcing up!
