This handsome boy graduated from kindergarten today.
He loved school (thus far) and hope he continues to, always. He was so excited for his Spring Sing today, he got all dressed and ready really early and kept fussing with his shirt, to make sure it was tucked in just right and all.
We've alsways joked about Gage having chipmunk cheeks (so cute) and today I was hoping that his would over-shadow mine! j/k bye-bye widsom teeth!

Miss Pee-body
I let Brighton run around naked right before her bath today.
The boys put a pillow in this box and were pushing her around right before I undressed her. I saw her run to sit back in it before I put her in the tub, little did I know, she wet all over it! It was soaked all the way to the box!
She tried to get back in it right before I noticed the pee, but I stopped her and took a picture instead! (pillow went through the wash today)
Silly girl.....

Fathers & sons outing '09
The boys had a blast, as usual! They were able to go up a little early to get an extra day of camping in, which they enjoyed!
Trevor was nice enough to let them shoot is gun
I can't believe Cass took this picture....
dirty, dirty boys
Bro. Tippets made a cool rocket that shot water, out!
They came home this dirty.... again
that's what boys are all about though, right?
they look a little tired
shooting awesome home-made duct tape rockets..... I think I want to come next time!
lunch stop on the way home
I'm so glad Cass enjoys this as much as us girls enjoy spending a little time together too! It was fun, no pictures though, Cass had the camera, but we'll always have the memories! We got to go to dinner with my mom, see a movie, have a sleepover and a yummy breakfast with some friends!
'til next year....!

Tag: 6th folder, 6th picture
This is funny because I almost posted about this one time! We were at something for the girls' school and I took Brighton's ponys out to fix her hair (re-using them) and one of them snapped. So I searched through my purse and could only find one bobby pin, so I tried to make it look like a piggy tail, but it was really out of control. those ponys just don't last like they used to!
I tag: Rachel, Alli, Stacy, Tammie, Mary Ann, and Jade! (if you all want to!)

I have my very own pirates!
Last night, the kids made up their own show. They like to do this often, they called it "The Pirate show" They were creative with their costumes. (Bridgit has undies on her head, I think she will be embarrassed about this later)
They sang a song about pirates and their shoes, and how they like to sing and dance!
The grand finale, JUMP out onto the love sac! They are so sweet, I think they were just trying to cheer me up.
I love my pirates
Carter reunion '09
This year was a blast! (as it aways is) Pictures uploaded backwards, but this will do. All afternoon and evening, we swam at Travis and Katy's pool and ran around their house! The kids did settle down to watch a movie once, but were in the water most of the day.

How did I not see this coming?
I bought the children some new fun animal scissors because they really enjoy doing arts and crafts, and because they keep misplacing mine! Gavin thought they were the greatest. I caught him cutting lots of different things up (or at least trying).... kitchen chairs, the couch, lots of odds and ends that he snuck behind the couch (his secret hiding place for mischief), etc. Today, Gage came to me and told me that Gavin was cutting Brighton's hair, it took me probably a whole minute for it to sink in to my lapsy brain (I was really involved at the time in getting some Primary stuff done). So I jump up, yelling "NO!!!!" and it was very too late. He got several small snips in beforehand. He took a couple snips from the top of her ponytail, and then several random ones inside the ponytail.... (sigh....) Pictures just don't do it justice.
I think she could sense something was off when we kept laughing at her and snapping pictures! She's usually more willing to cooperate, but not this time!
Luckily, right after, we got a call from my sister to come over to play and cool off, just what we needed!

I'm glad that she doesn't understand how silly her hair is going to look for a while. Gavin did feel really bad, he didn't like to talk about it and he wanted to snuggle with me lots thru out the day, which I don't always get to do. i just hope that it doesn't happen again, he is not allowed to use the scissors for a bit.

Camping is one family activity that we all love. There is something about the fresh mountain air that helps us to be able to enjoy it all!
We had to buy a new tent, ours just wasn't comfortable enough to fit us all, so we found a perfect one for our family, hope it lasts forever! The four older kids fit so well between these sleeping bags... I just wonder why at home they couldn't sleep this close together without fighting!?
Brighton's little personality is coming out stronger everyday! She is a bit feistier (sp) than I remember any of my other little ones to be! She loved camping, she just didn't love being told what to do, she's a free spirit.
My dad brought his sling-shot, that was right up Gage's alley. I love how he uses his tongue to concentrate! he usually curls it under and bites down, it's a funny family thing
Pappa found a great target.

He's had lots of practice..., never misses!
I think Brighton tried out every camping chair that was there. She got SO dirty!
We took a detour on the way up to the camping site, the road was really rough at some places and Gavin was pretty worried. We all got a little whip-lash
Brighton didn't like the bumpy road and was getting tossed around in her carseat, so Cass held her until we got back to the highway (where we always have to wear seatbelts) She gives the best snuggles!

Gavin, Ella, and Cheyanne (cousins) played so well together and kept well entertained.
Gavin wore his pack pack the WHOLE time!
trying out another chair
oops, same picture, don't know how to delete it!
Brighton figured out how to twist cookies apart to get to the creamy center, she's growing up way too fast!
Happy campers, they can get along so well sometimes, it's wonderful
I can't resist this sweet happy face!
Brighton has become a Nana and a Pappa's girl, she was so exhausted this evening, the only person she wanted was Nana, not me :( When we finally made it to bed, she was so wired, I've never seen her like that before! She was literally bouncing all over the place, giggling and sqealing! I suppose she was "too excited to sleep"! Once she held still though, she was out. thank goodness.
He's had lots of practice..., never misses!
