My poor boys are allergic to ant bites. the first time it happened to Gage, we ended up in urgent care with a HUGE ankle and celulitis, it was bad. Now we know what to do to prevent urgent care visits if we are quick and thorough about it.
Poor guy, he had to sleep with this on, but it did wonders. An ice pack, benadryl and after-bite ointment combined was the best result we've ever seen! it usually takes a while for the swelling to go down (days) and my nerves to settle, but this was only 2 days of much swelling, etc. Now we just need to get him to tell us right when the ant bites him, not the next day when it's had time to fester!!
